About Me
As a mother, educator, and photographer, I approach my work with skill sets I’ve picked up from each of my roles in life. My love for photography began long before I owned my first DSLR. I was working at a childcare center while pursuing my MA in Education when my boss gave me an opportunity to capture candid images of the students for their annual portfolio. I fell in love with spotting the “special” moments when their eyes lit up from a new discovery, when their brows furrowed over a difficult task, or when they found something hysterical to laugh over.
In 2012, my husband purchased my first DSLR and that’s where I began exploring shooting in different photography styles. Believe it or not, it all started with a $100/1 hour Groupon class I took with my coworker in San Francisco. One thing led to another, and in 2014 while 8 months pregnant with my firstborn son, I took my first-holiday mini sessions for two of my friends and their children. It’s been 10 years and each year I continue to fall more in love with this passion of mine.
